NSW Building Approvals for July 2021
NSW Approvals
In July, the approvals for both houses and ex-houses fell in NSW (chart above). The 6 months average (below) for ex-houses has stopped its climb, despite the low number from January dropping out of the 6 month window. February was also low, so a similar number to this month's next month will leave the average flat again.
The July ex-houses approvals dip is nothing like the May and August 2020 figures. Presumably, the confidence generated by rising prices is counteracting the lockdowns to some extent.
